I'm aware that I posted something twice. I'm just too lazy to fix it. Ya'll can stop emailing me about it now.

The Man has blocked the use of any job search engines from a school computer.
Futile.

Players on the varsity soccer team ask a favorite teacher to wear their jersey for the day when they have home games. Today, one of my former students asked me to wear theirs. It's like a badge of honor to wear it around school because not only does it say that you support the thinking-man's football, but that a student thinks enough of you to ask you to wear it.
My only regret is that I wore pink cords and purple shoes today. Not a great match for the red and white jersey.

Overheard while walking
Daughter: It sucks being Republican in an all Democrat school.
Mother: Don't say that. It stinks, dear.

Friend 1: So, they reconciled.
Friend 2: Wasn't he convicted of statutory rape?

Seen on restaurant sign while driving
"Share your V.D. with us" (hee hee)

A tuna sandwich does not a pleasant-smelling office make.
ps Nashville rocks.

Thank you, Mary Leigh. I did, in fact, knock 'em dead.
Nashville is awesome. Nashville schools are, too.
I'm still too tired from our weekend away to give much detail, but VisS played two great shows and I had a fucking great interview with the director of Art and Music for Metro Nashville Schools. I must admit that I had some pretty impressive student work.
Let's just cross 'em that they offer me something for this fall...

Allow Me to Introduce Myself
Yes, it's truly the Agent here. I thought I'd give this blogging stuff one more shot. This semester has been even worse than the last thanks to two overzealous new professors. Both classes typically require 200 pages of reading a week. In addition to my three classes, I work 20 hours and I'm a TA. Oh, did I mention I was buying a house too?! I feel kind of numb. So, if you're wondering what I'm doing, that basically sums up my life.

On to a more interesting topic: my dream last night. Mame and Big Gray were renewing their vows. I only remember that Ms. Comrade announced it was time for Mame to karaoke to a Cinderella song.
My dream two nights ago: my mother strangled Dakota Fanning. Then it became some elaborate murder mystery.
I've got too much film noir on the brain. Speaking of...Any one see Bad Education? Probably my favorite Almodovar (Big Gray, I think even you would appreciate it). This guy just keeps getting better.
