Coffee, Contacts and Combustible Christmas Trees
No coffee filters this morning so I had to use paper towels. To counteract (what I am sure is) the taste of bleach from the Sysco school towels, I made it twice as strong.

Good thing I have my glasses on to keep my eyeballs from popping out and rolling around on the floor.

Last night I dreamt that I had perfect vision and I was trying on all the lovely sunglasses that poor vision and a fear of contact lenses have kept me from enjoying.

Oh, and we finally took down our Christmas tree. We haven't plugged in the lights in over a week for fear that it's brittle, dry branches would spontaneously combust.

And it begins
Not unlike Big Gray, my big job search is underway as well. I got an email from the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools today urging me to apply for the coming school year as they will be hiring many a new instructor.
I don't know much about Nashville, but my mom loves it there.
Any advice?

Someone I work with today told me that I'm a "class act." I'm thinking of including it on my resume, right under my name in quotations.

My invincible summer, part II
I had a super good time on Saturday singing Britney Spears karaoke into a hand-held mic purchased for $2.

Went out after work with two new stellar friends.

Danced to Wham! records.
