Item 1
I'm glad that the legacy I'm leaving behind in the [Walnut] High School yearbook is one of me looking like a 12 year old boy. School pictures were issued today and needless to say I'm not pleased. I guess it's an improvement over last year's psycho smile.

Item 2
During the school wide talent show today I was amazed on two occassions. First, we have a student who can sing opera. Not just sing, REALLY sing opera. I'm not sure if it was only her voice or the fact that she was singing my favorite Puccini aria, but I was in tears and itchy with goosebumps. Amazing. I'm telling you.
Second, we have a pretty kick ass punk band roaming the halls. I want them to play Athens!

Item 3
We're going (if Big Gray ever gets HOME!) to the Walnut vs. local high school game tonight. My money is not on Walnut, but I'm cheering my heart out anyway.

As we speak
I hate to admit it, but I'm a little bored with the vp debate.

Ephemera
One of my students made me origami crane earrings. Priceless.

POT LUCK

I [heart] Jordan Catalano
I spent a long time cultivating my awkward sensitivity in high school and college, only to realize that it just wasn't me. Nevertheless, I WILL buy the "My So Called Life" box set and watch it ceaselessly.

Just like heaven

If you are going to give me full blown fall allergies, do me a solid and turn the temp down just a little.

RIP Hobbes, BG's and the Agent's long time family cat. He liked sunny spots and warm laps and will be truly missed.

2004!
My dad, jp's favorite republican, and I have yet to discuss the debate from last week.

Surprisingly tolerable when you spend a good deal of energy avoiding people.
